Welcome!

We invite you to enter Alderbrook and leave the city behind!

In the 1920's Bill Thompson Sheriff of Clark County, Washington owned the land which is now Alderbrook Park & Resorts of Brush Prairie. Forty years later, this land was acquired by Jim Hessler. Mr. Hessler fulfilled his dream and built over the next ten years, the park similar to the way you see it today. He was truly a man with a vision and his vision created a magical place for old & young to enjoy. Unfortunately, the park fell into disrepair many years later.

In 2005 this magical place was acquired by two gentleman who grew up in the Brush Prairie area. They wanted to see Alderbrook Park brought back to its original beauty.

In 2011 these gentlemen took over management of the park with a plan to ensure a place of enjoyment in the midst of a magnificent forest, created without encroaching on nature.

Wedding Venues & Locations for Portland & Vancouver Brides

Our visitors have found in Alderbrook, the perfect venue for their most intimate moments. Such as exchanging vows alongside Mirror Lake and following the ceremony, a wedding reception on our abundant lawns. We have several ceremony locations; Creekside, Riverside, The Lookout and more. Ask about our two lodges available for overnight guests and wedding parties.

Corporate Events & Private Picnics

Alderbrook Park is now enjoyed by companies and groups as a private picnic park. Visitors come from Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington to escape the city and relax with Alderbrook's natural setting of Evergreen trees and the rolling foot hills of Larch Mountain. Families and Coworkers connect again in our fun atmosphere. Retreats are available for those wanting to relax and enjoy the comforts of a furnished house while mingling with the outdoors.
